This new course, accredited at Conference Interpreter level and Professional Translator level, started in March 2013. After an introductory semester to Translation and Interpreting Studies, students have to pass an aptitude test before they can follow specialised conference interpreting training.
Practitioners who are already NAATI-accredited at Professional level with at least three years of documented practice, and who want to upgrade their skills, are eligible to take the aptitude test and, if successful, to follow the training over two semesters.
The next student intake for the MITS Interpreting stream will be in February 2014. The aptitude test for the Conference Interpreting stream will be organised in May 2014. Further information will be posted on this page.
