Upcoming seminar ‘Where is the evidence? Forced migration, grey literature and public policy’

Sharon_Pickereing_PPT-1734Professor Sharon Pickering will present a seminar ‘ Where is the evidence? Forced migration, grey literature and public policy’ at Swinburne University, Melbourne on Friday March 22, 2013 at 1.30-4.00pm.

Prof Pickering will discuss the notion of evidence-basedpolicy and the difficult area of refugees and immigration. Important sources of information and policy debate on forced migration are often outside of peer-reviewed journals and books. So where are these sources, what is being included and excluded from the evidence base and how can we make better use of grey literature for public policy development?
