Photographer and performer William Yang is one of Australia’s most celebrated independent artists and ‘The Story Only I Can Tell’ is the fascinating story of his life, which a number of CTP students have had the privilege to work on with him to create this astonishing piece at Monash Clayton next week.
This probably won’t be the first time you will have seen William’s work – chances are you have seen some of his photographs in the major state and national galleries of Australia, or perhaps you have seen his documentary film that aired on ABC television (William Yang: My Generation).
Whichever side of Yang’s work you may know, his latest story-telling theatre work is something not to be missed.
Join William for this uniquely Australian story exploring cultural diversity, belonging, being Chinese in the West, and documenting the Australian art world, celebrity society, and the LGBTI scene in Sydney.
This must-see performance, brought to you by CTP and MAPA, is on Thursday 10 August @ 8pm @ Drama Theatre, Monash Clayton
Purchase tickets via MAPA Box Office –
