CTP PhD Candidate secures prestigious Scholarship

Mulcahy - headshotPhD Candidate Sean Mulcahy is no stranger to the Centre for Theatre and Performance having completed his undergraduate and Honours studies within the Centre. We are delighted that Sean has been awarded the prestigious Monash – Warwick University Alliance Scholarship as he commences his PhD studies as part of the Monash-Warwick alliance.  The Alliance aims to help meet the increasing student, industry and government demand for universities to produce graduates with a global education, and to undertake research that addresses world-relevant and strategically important problems. Sean’s postgraduate studies ‘Towards a Literary Jurisprudence’  seeks to determine alternative literary strategies to enable outsiders’ stories to be heard within the legal systems. By ‘giving voice’ to those who are not typically heard in the law, it strives to contribute to discussions on ethics for legal practitioners.  His supervisors for this research are Dr Felix Nobis (Monash) and Professor Gary Watt (Warwick).
