Monash Malaysia

Established in 1998, Monash Malaysia is the university’s first international campus. The campus is located in Bandar Sunway, about 18km from centre Kuala Lumpur. A popular tourist destination, Kuala Lumpur has a rich blend of cultural and ethnic diversity. The weather is tropical with an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Bandar Sunway has come to be known as a higher education hub for its easy access via a network of highways and modern infrastructure, and its safe, secure and friendly student environment. The township contains a major shopping mall, the award-winning Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, and a range of hotels, clubs and bars. On-campus accomodation is pre-arranged for all exchange and study-abroad students at the Sunway Monash Residence. The food is delicious, cheap and easily available throughout the day.

The campus has advanced facilities with state-of-the-art technology, a strong volunteering ethic which sees many students give up their time to help disadvantaged children with their school work, and excellent campus security. There are lots of places to shop, eat and be entertained on and close to the campus. Clearwater Mall is only 5km from the campus and houses major department stores, boutiques, specialty shops, cinemas and restaurants. Also close by, Northgate Mall has an ice rink and paintball arena.
