To celebrate the resumption of teaching dedicated Catalan language and culture at an Australian university, Monash and Melbourne universities are jointly hosting the “Second Symposium on Catalonia in Australia.”
The “First Symposium on Catalonia in Australia” was coordinated by Dr Robert Archer at La Trobe University in September 1996 and it brought together researchers and research students from Catalonia and Australia. In maintaining the title of the first symposium, this second one acknowledges the history of Catalan scholarship in Australia, without which this second symposium would not be possible.
The symposium will take place at the University of Melbourne on 27 July 2013.
This is a free event. To register, please email Jeremy Taylor: firstname.lastname@example.org.
