The School of Philosophical, Historical & International Studies (SOPHIS) offers a full program of undergraduate studies at the Clayton & Caulfield campuses, as well as more limited offerings in Philosophy via distance education. 

Our staff offer a diverse range of units as part of several undergraduate degree programs.

We also offer postgraduate studies by coursework and research and actively recruit new MA and PhD students on a regular basis.

Teaching & Subject Areas

  • The Honours degree in the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies is a fourth year of study beyond the normal B.A. It is possible to do Honours part-time. It is also possible to enter the Honours program at midyear. Read more
