The School of Philosophical, Historical & International Studies (SOPHIS) offers a full program of undergraduate studies at the Clayton & Caulfield campuses, as well as more limited offerings in Philosophy via distance education.
Our staff offer a diverse range of units as part of several undergraduate degree programs.
SOPHIS offers a range of majors and minors, including in History, Philosophy, Bioethics, Religious Studies, and Ancient Cultures. We also offer innovative interdisciplinary programs in Human Rights, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and International Studies.
The School offers an Honours year (fourth year of study) beyond the normal B.A.
We also offer postgraduate studies by coursework and research, and actively recruit new MA and PhD students on a regular basis.
