Associate Professor Brett Hutchins has just released two international edited collections that examine processes of media transformation in the digital age. The first, Environmental Conflict and the Media, is a specially commissioned volume in the ‘Global Crises and the Media‘ series published by Peter Lang in New York, and features an Afterword by the leader of the Australian Greens Party, Christine Milne. The second, Digital Media Sport: Technology, Power and Culture in the Network Society, features contributions that examine sports media markets and cultures in North America, Great Britain, continental Europe, East Asia and Australasia. Published by Routledge in New York, Digital Media Sport is a companion volume for the 2012 research monograph, Sport Beyond Television.
