katelyn-wallace-web“Studying Religion at Monash was extremely rewarding. In my undergraduate major I was exposed to a great diversity of religious thought and practice, both within and across the world’s major religious traditions. I particularly enjoyed the in depth analyses of religious texts in class, and the vibrant discussions which our inquiries generated. In my honours thesis I studied the thought and writings of the Trappist monk and mystic, Thomas Merton, and his contribution to social criticism of the 1960s. I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Education in Townsville and will be teaching Studies of Religion in a local secondary school as of 2015. Whether you are interested in religion from a philosophical, cultural, historical, political, aesthetic or personal interest perspective, a degree in Religious Studies at Monash will definitely excite your curiosity.”
