A NATIONAL CONVERSATION: cricket and post-colonialism
with Dr Boria Majumdar, Professor Brian Stoddart and Gideon Haigh
Dr Boria Majumdar is a leading academic researcher and journal and publishing editor in the study of Sport. He is well known for his pioneering study of Indian cricket ”Twenty-Two Yards to Freedom” (2004) and most recently (with Nalin Mehta) “Sellotape Legacy: Delhi & the Commonwealth Games” (2010).

Dr Majumdar is a former Rhodes Scholar and has a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow, University

of Central Lancashire.

He is also Principal Trustee and Secretary, South Asia Research Foundation and edits the following important publication series in sports studies:
Sport in the Global Society, Contemporary Perspectives (Routledge), Sport in Society (Routledge), Soccer and Society (Routledge)
