Melbourne philanthropist Dr Jeanne Pratt AC has donated $1,000,000 to Monash University’s Centre for Theatre and Performance, significantly boosting student opportunities in musical theatre.

Congratulations to three Monash Music students Xinwen Melody Zhang (piano), Cengmei Juliet Wang (violin) and Thomas Sinclair (cello) for advancing to the finals of the Musica Viva Chamber Music Prize run by the Sydney Eisteddfod. Following the heats held earlier in July, this student piano trio was one of only six groups to be chosen from around Australia to perform in the final round to be held at the Sydney Conservatorium on 4th August. We wish them all the very best for the upcoming performance!
