Dr Paul Watt to Convene International Conference on Musical Biography

Monash Musicologist to Convene International Conference on Musical Biography:

Dr Paul Watt from the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music—in partnership with Dr Christopher Wiley from the University of Surrey in the UK—will convene a conference on musical biography at the Institute for Musical Research, School of Advanced Studies, University of London.

The conference will be held from 9–11th April, 2015 and is called ‘Musical biography: National ideology, Narrative technique, and the Nature of myth’ and will feature individual papers as well as a series of panels by scholars writing biographies of composters, critics and performers.
