Performance Audition Procedure

  • All Performance applicants must register to attend an audition. For details, please read Registration.

    Once registrations have closed for performance auditions, we will schedule auditions and notify all applicants by email. For auditions that will be held in September/October, you can expect to receive your confirmation by the end of the first week of September. For auditions that are to be held in December, you can expect to receive your  confirmation by the end of the first week in of November.

    In the meantime, you should prepare for your audition.

    • Undergraduate applicants: two contrasting works (e.g. style, period, composer), no longer than 15 minutes altogether.
    • Honours applicants: three contrasting works (e.g. style, period, composer), no longer than 30 minutes altogether.

    Interstate applicants

    You are expected to attend the scheduled audition if you are applying for the performance program. When you register you can choose to audition in Canberra, Sydney or Clayton. If you cannot attend, please follow instructions provided in your confirmation email.

    Offshore International Applicants
