The ninth biennial meeting of ANZAMEMS (Australian and New Zealand Association for Medieval and Early Modern Studies) wound up at the Caulfield campus on Saturday with a stimulating address from final keynote speaker, Professor Charles Zika (Melbourne). The conference spanned five days and over one thousand years of history, welcoming delegates from around Australasia and around the world. Keynote lectures from distinguished visitors Anne Dunlop (Tulane) and John Najemy (Cornell) were also presented, along with an interesting opening lecture from the CMRS’s own Peter Howard. More reports and photographs from the meeting will be available soon. The Association’s AGM confirmed that the next ANZAMEMS conference will take place at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, in July 2015. Watch the ANZAMEMS website for updates.
