Our annual symposia celebrate CMRS research

Every year, the CMRS holds an annual symposium, convened by a team of senior HDR students. The themes of these symposia are chosen to celebrate the work of current staff and students, and to connect with scholars investigating common themes across Australasia and the world. The CMRS annual symposium typically takes place in semester one (in the first half of the calendar year).

For example, at the 3rd Annual CMRS Symposium, seven scholars including Keynote speaker, Professor Bronwen Neil of Macquarie University, interrogated texts and dialogues of medieval European and Mediterranean cultures, in a symposium thematically centred on ‘policing the margins’.
