NEH Fellowships for Medieval & Renaissance Scholars

The McDevitt Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies awards NEH Research Fellowships  at Saint Louis University, now open.


Applicants must possess an earned doctorate or be a Ph.D.-candidate at the dissertation stage.

Terms of Appointment

  • Stipend: $1,750.00 per five-week period
  • Reimbursement of all travel expenses to and from St Louis
  • A fully furnished two-bedroom apartment (utilities included)

Time Period:  awarded for one, two, or three five-week periods 

  • Fall Semester, 2014
    • August 25-September 26
    • September 29-October 31
    • November 3-December 5
  • Spring Semester, 2015
    • January 12-February 13
    • February 16-March 20 
    • March 23-April 24

Applications have no formal deadline, but are currently under review for 2014-15.
