Professor John Najemy of Cornell University is visiting Monash for the 9th Biennial ANZAMEMS Conference

John Najemy teaches history at Cornell University. John is a pre-eminent historian of Renaissance Florence. His publications include books and articles on Renaissance Florence and on Machiavelli and other writers of the Renaissance. He will be visiting Monash in February for the 9th Biennial ANZAMEMS conference and to deliver the associated Second Bill Kent Memorial Lecture. Details follow:

The Bill Kent Memorial Foundation & Lecture: The Bill Kent Foundation has been established to honour Bill Kent’s memory and legacy. It has a broad mandate to fund the development and maintenance of the Bill Kent Library at the Monash University Prato Centre, as well as supporting initiatives such as the annual Bill Kent lectures, conferences, scholarships, fellowships in the area of Medieval and Renaissance studies. A lecture in honour of the late Emeritus Professor Bill Kent will be delivered every second year in Melbourne by a distinguished scholar of medieval and renaissance Italy.
