The Monash Asia Institute and the Australia Indonesia Centre

Centre for South East Asian Studies  has pleasure to invite you to attend the launch of three new books

on Indonesian language, history and culture.

The three books are:

  • Kartini :The Collected Writings, 1898–1904

    Edited and translated by Joost Coté (Monash University Publishing)

  • Javanese Grammar for Students: A Graded Introduction.

    Third edition. By Stuart Robson (Monash University Publishing)

  • Performing Contemporary Indonesia: Celebrating Identity, Constructing Community,

    edited by Barbara Hatley (Brill Publishing)

The launch of three exciting and important books, two of which are published by Monash publishing is the result of the cooperation of the Australia Indonesia Centre, the Monash Asia Institute (Centre for South East Asian Studies), the Monash Faculty of Arts, and Monash University Publishing.


A selection snacks will be served at 6.30 pm.
