PHD PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP 

Prior to the 5th CFP: Inter-Asia Popular Music Studies Conference in Melbourne (11th – 12th December), Monash Asia Institute (MAI) and Asia Cultural and Media Studies Research Cluster (ACMS) will be hosting a half day pre- conference workshop for current and recently graduated PhD students. This pre-conference workshop will be good for delegates to:

  • Engage in the current debates around theories and methods in Asia cultural and media research
  • Network with other PhD students in similar disciplines
  • Seek publication opportunities
  • Gain advice on career development

Registration for this event includes:

  • Food & drink during the workshop
  • Full 2 day registration to the 5th CFP: Inter-Asia Popular Music Studies Conference

Registration cost: AUD$ 30

Eligibility: Any current and recently graduated PhD students (graduated in the last 12 months). Masters students and any HDR students to be are also encouraged to attend.

Registrants to the Pre-Conference Workshop should submit an abstract (maximum of 500 words) including full name, title of paper, institution, current year of PhD and email address to earvin.cabalquinto@monash.edu by 18 Nov 2016.

Only documents in Word and PDF format will be accepted. These abstracts will be peer reviewed prior to the workshop.
