Teaching and Learning languages in the Digital Age

Translation and Interpreting
We offer a NAATI-approved Master program for up to nine languages paired with English. We are the only Faculty in Australia with a named PhD program in Translation Studies and the only Australian program being a member of the international association CIUTI.
Our research on traditional and emerging literatures investigates the importance of literature for establishing national and cultural identities within larger political and economic landscapes.
We conduct research in comparative indigeneity focused on examining the cultural, political and national importance of indigenous cultures for contemporary society. Our research on the mobility of people, ideas and cultural products around the globe and the changing linguistic landscapes, addresses some of the crucial societal challenges of our day.
