Today saw the first LLCL School Seminar of the year. Colleagues, visiting guests of the school, PhD, Masters and Honours students gathered to explore the theme “Plagiarism West/East”, with presentations by A/Prof. Franz-Josef Deiters and Prof. Gloria Davies.
The presentations launched a lively cross-disciplinary exchange, interrogating themes of authorship, ownership and fakery across varied cultural traditions and from diverse theoretical perspectives.
For those with access to the LLCL intranet, an audio recording of the seminar is available here.
Many thanks to all who attended and made this first seminar of the year such a rich and stimulating time. Many thanks to Kim and Jocelyne for ordering and arranging the catering.
