Professor Kate Rigby has been awarded a 6-month senior research fellowship at the University of Freiburg’s Institute of Advanced Studies, co-funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, FRIAS, the European Union through the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) “Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action, People, Co-funding of regional, national and international programs (COFUND)” and the state of Baden-Wurttemberg.The University of Freiburg is one of the strongest research universities in Germany and a member of LERU (the League of European Research Universities), and the Institute supports internationally outstanding researchers with academically excellent and innovative research projects through individual or group fellowships across the humanities and social sciences, the natural and life sciences, engineering and medicine. Prof. Rigby was one of only a handful from over one hundred applicants from around the world to be awarded the prestigious “Marie Curie FCFP Senior Fellowship” for 2015
