B2+Spanish and Latin American Studies In ATS2196/3196, I listen and understand, without a transcript, advanced language audio files (4-8 minutes). At the end of the semester, I am able to answer detailed questions and do vocabulary exercises related to the audio files studied during the semester. In ATS2196/3196, I practice analytical reading of 500-1000 word magazine/newspaper articles about current affairs and contemporary social issues. I am developing specific independent reading related to the language blog. I can identify the key grammatical structures and analyse their use. In ATS2196/3196, I take part in class debates on current affairs. In ATS2196/3196, I am able to develop a large range of expository and argumentation skills. I can use individual arguments for the class debate. In ATS2196/3196, I am creating and developing a blog to express and share opinions about a specific topic. At the end of semester, I am able to write a short essay by using correctly key grammatical structures, creative expressions and idiomatic expressions of  the language.
