C1 CEFR I can understand extended speech even when it is not clearly structured and when relationships are only implied and not signalled explicitly. I can understand television programmes and films without too much effort. I can understand long and complex factual and literary texts, appreciating distinctions of style. I can understand specialised articles and longer technical instructions, even when they do not relate to my field. I can express myself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. I can use language flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes. I can formulate ideas and opinions with precision and relate my contribution skilfully to those of other speakers I can present clear, detailed descriptions of complex subjects integrating sub-themes, developing particular points and rounding off with an appropriate conclusion I can express myself in clear, well-structured text, expressing points of view at some length. C1+ French Studies   In ATS3070/4070, I am trained to listen and understand in details audio and video file lasting between 10 and 15 min. At the end of the semester, I am able to summarize a video file extracted from French speaking TV news, from a fiction, a  ( TV news, fiction, …). In ATS3070/4070, I am working on  long and complex texts (1000-2000 words) in various styles (literacy, news, scientific works…). In ATS3070/4070, I am improving my expository and argumentation skills to present  15 min argumentation about social or scientific topics after 1h preparation. In ATS3070/4070, I am improving my expository and argumentation skills to present for the final exam a 15 min argumentation about social or scientific topics after 1h preparation. In ATS3070/4070, I am developing advanced analytical, expository and argumentative skills. At the end of the semester, I can compose a balanced and argumentative synthesis (300-500 words) about a range of several documents on scientific and social topics.
C1 French Studies In ATS3069/4069, I m working on 10 min’ audio and video files  (TV and radio news, fiction…) to extract the relevant information and summarize it (300-400 word). In ATS3069/4069, I can read and understand long and complex texts (1000-2000 words). In ATS3069/4069, I can lead a 20 min presentation and interaction about social or scientific topics from a selection of various documents, as part of the final exam. In ATS3069/4069, I am able to present a selection of news in a press review style. At the end of the semester, I am able to develop expository and argumentation skills in context of oral presentation. In ATS3069/4069, I am developing advanced analytical, expository and argumentative skills in order to compose a balanced and argumentative essay (300-500 words) about a range of several documents on scientific and social topics, as a part of the final exam.
