A1 CEFR I can recognise familiar words and very basic phrases concerning myself, my family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly. I can understand familiar names, words and very simple sentences, for example on notices and posters or in catalogues. I can interact in a simple way provided the other person is prepared to repeat or rephrase things at a slower rate of speech and help me formulate what I’m trying to say. I can ask and answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics. I can use simple phrases and sentences to describe where I live and people I know. I can write simple phrases and isolated sentences.
A1+ French Studies In ATS1062, I am continuing my training on online exercises based on short video and audio files, related to familiar and everyday life topics In ATS1062, I can read and understand short texts (e.g. simplified newspaper articles of 200-300 words in length), and be assessed on that. In ATS1062, I can discuss everyday life topics, using the past, present and future tenses in a casual conversation. At the end of the semester, I am able to conduct a 5 min interaction dialogue with another student on a prepared topic. In ATS1062, I am improving my ability to produce simple sentences relating to everyday life situations. At the end of the semester, I am able to  make a 5 min individual oral presentation on my environment. In ATS1062, to do  continuing exercices and assignments on a weekly basis enables me to write a short story  (100/120  words) as part of my final exam.
A1 French Studies In ATS1061, I am trained to listen and understand short video and audio files included in the workbook and available online. In ATS1061, I am prepared to read and understand of short texts (e.g. simplified newspaper articles of 100-200 words in length), which will be a part of the final exam. In ATS1061, I practice conversation on everyday life topics (week-end, vacations, family, etc.). In ATS1061, I am working on production of sentences relating to everyday life situations, using present and future tenses. In ATS1061 homework assessment and exercises on a weekly basis will allow me to write a short essay (80/100  words) about casual activities as part of my final exam.
