Vietnamese veterans have marched on Anzac Day since 1981. Yet little is known of their life stories, their war experiences or their perspectives on the Vietnam War and on Australia’s involvement in the war.
Associate Professor Nathalie Nguyen’s ARC Future Fellowship is on “Forgotten Histories: Vietnamese veterans in Australia”. She will give a Public Lecture on “Memories of War: The Stories of Vietnamese Veterans in Australia” at the National Library of Australia in Canberra on Monday 24 September 2012 at 5.30pm.
