Duration: Minimum 1 month – Maximum 3 months
Required Days: 10:00am – 6:00pm, Mon – Fri (with some flexibility)
You will work within the Writing and Research Department. Your main objectives will be to produce written articles for publication and provide rough Indonesian translations of English language news articles, which will then be refined by a native Indonesian speaker.
Your general responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
• Translating English foreign news articles into Indonesian. You may also translate a variety of other relevant documents, such as reports or media releases;

• Writing articles relevant to any research you have conducted;
• Working with the writing department to collaborate on articles and blogs; and
• Attending relevant events with partner organisations to promote the activities of Suara.com.
Strong Indonesian language skills are required for this internship. Your proficiency must be high enough to be able to translate documents from English to Indonesian (albeit Indonesian that then requires further editing) and write your own articles in Indonesian.
You should have a strong interest in both journalism and Indonesian culture. You will be required to demonstrate this, along with your Indonesian language proficiency, in a Skype interview.
You are encouraged to bring your own laptop to this internship.
The fee charged by International Internships (Service Provider) is in addition to the tuition fees for the unit ATS3130. Accommodation and in country support packages are optional but highly recommended.
