Visit Victoria is Victoria’s tourism and events company, responsible for tourism marketing and event attraction dedicated to growing Victoria’s visitor economy through tourism marketing and event acquisition.

The organisation is spearheading a cohesive, new approach to marketing Melbourne and Regional Victoria to attract more visitors and world-class events to the state and consolidate Melbourne and Victoria’s position as a leading global tourism and events destination.

Key accountabilities :

A. Event Research

  • Coordinate research surveys for regional events
    • Liaise with key regional event stakeholders in the preparation and coordination of research surveys
    • Consolidate results into excel data analytics tool
    • Prepare reports on key findings
  • Support the development, research and writing of business cases for new event opportunities to be considered by the Regional Event Fund Committee.

B. Marketing and Events

  • Provide assistance where required to Regional Event Acquisition Team on the development and delivery of marketing plans.
  • Support the marketing activities for Regional Events
  • Attend meetings and events as required.

Key competencies

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills with particular strength in excel and data analytics
  • Ability to report results
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
