Korean Consulate-General Melbourne Internship

The Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Melbourne has jurisdiction over Victoria. It is our mission to secure the safety of Koreans residing in Victoria and strive to enhance their rights, as well as to strengthen the relations and exchanges with the state of Victoria.

Eligible Students: Masters of International Relations 
Intake Period: Semester 1, 2018
Duration & Days of Attendance: 2-3 days a week

3 Internship places available. 

As an intern at the Consulate, you will be part of the cultural Affairs team and will work closely with the team, the Consul General and other Consulate staff. Your duties may include:

  • Working with the Cultural Affairs team to organise promotional and cultural activities and events;
  • Organising meetings and preparing minutes for the Consul General and Cultural Affairs team;
  • Preparing briefings, media and communications strategies, research reports and correspondence;
  • Preparing media and promotional materials including press releases, website articles and online newsletters;
  • Assisting with information management including maintaining the Consulate’s website, databases and contact lists;
  • Researching international and economic issues
  • Undertaking administrative and other duties, as required.

We are looking for university students or recent graduates who are passionate about advancing Korea’s interests in Australia.
