International Internships run Monash accredited group and individual internship programs which give students an in-depth and balanced insight into working in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as developing their professional skills and connections.
For students who are looking to enhance their professional skills and prepare for an Asia-focus career.
On this program students will complete a three-week internship in Jakarta, in their discipline area. Before their internship begins, students will also spend a week in Yogyakarta, the cultural capital of Indonesia.
These internships are team-based and students will work with host organisation on an allocated project for the three weeks.
Group Size: 3-4
Group Composition: Each group will include 2-3 Australian students and 1-2 local students. This format gives students an opportunity to work closely in a team across cultures and language barriers. Each group can be made up of students from the same or different disciplines.
Nature of Work: The work given by the host organisation will be project-based, although the students will also be involved in the everyday tasks of the organisation. Project-based work is ideal for short-term placements and will allow students to work towards a specific goal during their time with their host organisations.
Host Organisations: Examples of host organisations that we have worked with in the past include the Victorian Government Business Office, ANZ, the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation, CPA Australia, BDO Indonesia, Air Asia, the Human Rights Working Group, Legal Aid Indonesia, Lippo Karawaci, Mullen-Lowe Indonesia and lots more.
