Assisi Aid Projects is a dynamic, grassroots not-for-profit organisation. We’ve spent the last 30 years working to empower women to bring about positive changes in their own lives, the lives of their children and their communities. We work with the most marginalised women in their societies; including widows, tribal women and women with disabilities. Our projects are in 43 villages in Tamil Nadu, India and 10 community groups in Trapeang Roung and Phat Sanday, Cambodia. Our work benefits over 6,000 women, men and children who would otherwise not be able to access assistance.

Assisi works in partnership with local organisations to address root causes of poverty and disadvantage. Our success is due to our commitment to supporting tangible, practical and self-sustaining initiatives such as women’s self-help groups which focus on skills training, income generation and leadership development; and also engaging with men and boys as change agents. Our vision is a world in which all people have equal opportunity to determine and achieve their economic and social potential.
