Department of Premier and Cabinet Research Internship

The Social Policy Group is responsible for Aboriginal affairs, multicultural affairs and citizenship, veterans’ affairs, women, equality, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, education, justice, health and human services policy.

Internship Project:

The Victorian Government is embarking on an ambitious policy of self-determination and agreement making with Aboriginal Victorians. The Department of Premier and Cabinet is seeking interns with an interest in public policy and Aboriginal affairs to assist it the development of this work by undertaking research and preparing policy briefings on key issues relating self-determination and agreement making, including drawing on experience in other Australian and international jurisdictions. The role is located at 1 Treasury Place, East Melbourne, to start immediately. There is opportunity for work to be tailored towards your skills and desired outcomes.

Duration: Minimum 144 hours in Sem 2, 2016

Start Date: Immediate

Eligibility

1. The students should meet the eligibility criteria to enrol in ATS3129 Arts Internship (12CP) unit (completed 96 CP and have a distinction average)

2. Check with Arts Student services if you have room in your degree for this unit.
