LinOpinion is the public relations division of Lowe Lintas & Partners, and one of the country’s leading PR firms. This internship will be based at the Mumbai Head office. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn the field from top to bottom.
Brief Description and Responsibilities:
Last summer 5 Monash interns had an excellent experience with Linopinion in Mumbai. This year successful candidates while completing an individual assignment, will also work alongside PR teams and assist them in the operation and administrative needs.
- Conduct research and brainstorm new ideas for current projects.
- Attend conferences and meetings with the teams.
- Monitor all forms of media
- Write press releases and other materials
- Compile contact lists and press clippings
- Create and update databases
Selection Criteria: Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills, and a good understanding of social media.
Duration: minimum of 2 months. Available throughout the year.
Start Date: Flexible
Costs: International Internship Placement Fee – $1600*
*This fee charged by Service Provider is in addition to the tuition fees for the unit APG5044 and includes:
- Support during the application phase, including facilitating interviews where required
- Procurement of necessary agreements from the host organisation
- Support for the student to obtain the appropriate visa
- Support for the host and student and intervention in the case that there are any issues at the internship site
Optional accommodation and incountry support packages are available from preferred service providers at additional cost.
Travel insurance is provided by Monash University. It will cover you for personal travel prior to and after your overseas program, and includes access to 24-hour a day medical and emergency assist services.
- Asiabound Scholarship at $3,000 each
To be eligible for scholarships you must be:
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Enrolled as an postgraduate student
All students (domestic and international) will be eligible for additional $900 Monash Abroad Travel bursary plus travel insurance.
Domestic students may be eligible for interest free government loan (like HECS) of upto $7,500 through OS-HELP.
