Centre for Policy Development (CPD) Media Internship

CPD is an independent, non-partisan policy think tank. We develop long-term policies to promote shared prosperity and sustainable well-being. Our goal is to develop practical and innovative policy ideas for Australia’s long-term future and foster a collaborative environment to make them achievable.

Intake: Semester 1 (26 Feb – 25 May)
Duration and days: 1-2 days per week, flexible days
Location: Carlton

Key responsibilities:
• Create original and engaging content ideas and deliver these across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
• Follow breaking news coverage to find compelling content to share via Act for Peace’s social media networks
• Monitor metrics like reach and engagement on Act for Peace’s social media platforms,      and make content recommendations based on performance
• Help develop and implement a new social media strategy;
• Assist with the curation of the monthly eNews

• Help record audio content at our events
• Use audio content, edit and produce high quality podcasts
• Potential: create inspiring multimedia content such as short video to explain our projects    for CPD’s digital channels.

Recommended Disciplines: Master of Communications & Media Studies, Master of Cultural & Creative Industries
