The International Studies Team

Welcome to International Studies. My name is Dr Tim Verhoeven and I am the Director of this, the fifth-largest major in the entire Arts Faculty.

At Monash, International Studies units are taught by dynamic and engaged staff members who specialise in a broad range of areas. Our staff have studied and worked around the world, at universities in Asia, Africa, Europe, America and of course Australia. They work on Europe, modern Southeast Asia, the history of medicine, gender and international development, the development of the modern multi-national corporation, legacies of war in the Asian region, and the integration of the USSR into a pan-European and global narrative. See a selected list of International Studies staff and their research interests below.
