Master of Journalism and Master of Sustainability

This double master’s program provides a comprehensive introduction to social and environmental sustainability and sustainable development. It also provides an entry-level qualification for a professional journalism career, and a mid-career course for working journalists who want to extend their expertise and refresh the intellectual basis of their practice.

Students develop a strong understanding of the theory and practice of sustainable development alongside the sociopolitical causes and effects of environmental degradation and change. The development of high standards of professional research and reporting skills in a range of media technologies is a key component of the program.

The Master of Sustainability component has three streams:

  • Environment and Governance
  • Corporate Environmental and Sustainability Management
  • International Development and Natural Resource Management
