Our research programs are provided in eight broad disciplines, yet are interdisciplinary in nature. Each research program provides specialist and generalist coursework and training components which develop the necessary skills and training for life during and after a research degree. We provide programs in the following areas:
Film, Media and Communications
Our program brings together some of Australia’s leading researchers in film, television, communication, media studies, journalism and journalism studies. Potential research topics range from the effects of digital media on globalisation to indigenous film, and new forms of journalism. We can also offer a practice-based PhD in journalism.
The Historical Studies program has an outstanding reputation, both nationally and internationally. Our program provides candidates with the opportunity to benefit from academic expertise across a broad range of historical subjects.
