Moreland Energy Foundation is a community organisation whose mission is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by working with households and businesses across Moreland and beyond. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic student intern to gain meaningful work experience while assisting our team deliver our organisation’s key projects. We are based in Sydney Road, Brunswick.
The newly created Frank Fisher Memorial Internship will provide an opportunity to work with the MEFL advocacy team on sustainability projects.
As the Frank Fisher Memorial Intern, your duties will include:
- Working with the MEFL advocacy team on an agreed sustainability advocacy project
- Assisting MEFL staff with projects as directed
The Frank Fisher Memorial Internship was created as a tribute to Professor Frank Fisher’s lifelong commitment to sustainability education. Professor Fisher was known for his ability to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of accepted wisdom within the sustainability field. In this spirit, we are seeking a creative thinker with sound theoretical knowledge and demonstrated ability to work independently for an opportunity to break into a career in sustainability. The purpose of the Frank Fisher Memorial Internship is to provide a promising student or recent graduate with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience with the aim of germinating a career in sustainability. No prior work experience is expected.
The position is expected to start at the end of June 2013 and continue for six months until the end of December 2013. It is envisioned that the successful candidate will work 6 days per fortnight, hours negotiable.
