How to Apply

The application process for an Arts undergraduate degree depends on the course, semester of entry and whether you are applying to study on or off-campus.

VTAC Applications

Semester 1 entry, on-campus degrees

Most applications for semester 1 entry are through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). This includes VCE students and students applying by entry pathways such as Monash College, or transfers from another university.

VTAC acts as a central agency, coordinating the selection process for tertiary institutions. This means that you submit one application for all the university courses that you’d like to do, and VTAC distributes your information to the relevant course selection officers.

See the VTAC website for more information.

Audition information for Performing Arts or Music

In addition to applying through VTAC, applicants must sit an audition for all Performing Arts and Music degrees.

For information see Music or Performing Arts.

If you are applying for the Bachelor of Performing Arts and Bachelor of Music double degree, you must complete both auditions.

Direct entry

This is where you apply directly to Monash University for admission to a course.

Off-campus

Apply for an off-campus course

Mid-year entry

For courses that permit mid-year entry, applications must be made directly to the Faculty of Arts.
