Thai music theory, aesthetics and performance through a case study of a melody called ‘Phayasok’


The presentation will describe aesthetic and structural elements of Thai music that place its  contents out of reach of Western originating theoretical models. In their place are analytical processes that illuminate Thai rather than European derived musical traits.
