Classical Piano – Finalists of the Jascha Spivakovsky Prize

The Jascha Spivakovsky Prize is given annually by Michael Spivakovsky in memory of his father, the Russian-born concert pianist. Spivakovsky was renowned for his “crystal piano playing”, was friends with Sir Zelman Cowen, and performed at the memorial service of his dear friend Sir John Monash. The prize is intended to encourage excellence in classical piano playing by students of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, and will be awarded to the student who achieves the highest standard of concert performance.

The music of Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Ravel and Sculthorpe will be performed by our three outstanding piano student finalists, Isaac Chok, Nikki Wei and James Zong.
