Book Launch; Perspectives on Artistic Research in Music

Date/Time: Tue 09 May / 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Location: Monash University, Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Music Auditorium, Building 68, 55 Scenic Boulevard, Clayton Campus

Join us as we celebrate the launch of ‘Perspectives on Artistic Research in Music’.

In July 2015, Associate Professor Robert Burke from The Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music co-convened with Associate Professor Andrys Onsman, a conference on Artistic Research in Music. This has resulted in a new book that was published in January 2017 by Lexington. There are three authors of chapters from Monash University: Professor Cat Hope, Associate Professor Thomas Reiner and Associate Professor Robert Burke.

This event brings together researchers from the The Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music to demonstrate their practice through short performances. This is an exceptional opportunity to hear and discuss how research and new ideas are both explored and uncovered through practice.
