ATS1259 Exploring contemporary Australia: People, events, ideas (Semester 1)

Field Trip details –
The field trip associated with this unit is compulsory however students can choose to attend one of the following two options –

Option 1 – Tasmania – Limited places available

Dates: 
31 March – 2 April

Itinerary:
Students will visit the Hobart War Memorial, MONA, Mount Wellington, Freycinet National Park and Cape Tourville Lighthouse. 
Students will stay one night in Hobart and one night in Coles Bay, Tasmania

Cost:
Students will pay for accommodation, airfares, entrance fees and meals.
The faculty will subsidise some of the student’s costs.  Students will be notified of the amount when booking.

Option 2 – Melbourne – MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) to see an Australian Football League (football match)

Date:  
8 April 2017 – 12:50pm – 5:00pm

Itinerary:
Richmond v. West Coast Eagles

Meeting place: Richmond Football Club museum at Punt road oval, adjacent to the MCG. Please see map on Moodle under “field trip”.

Cost:
Students will need to pay for their own transport and meals.
Tickets to the AFL football match and entry to Richmond Football Club museum is free.
