John Bradley, Shannon Faulkhead and Franca Tamisari (a colleague and friend from the Università Ca’ Foscari, Venezia) presented the Monash Country Lines Archive (MCLA) Program at the Open Day and the 10th Anniversary celebrations of the Monash University Prato Centre, Italy on 17 September 2011.

The two 3D animations that were shown at this event were the ‘Wundanyuka Kulu Jujuju – The Sea Turtle And The Osprey’ and the ‘The Dreamings From The Saltwater Country’, of the Yanyuwa people of the south west Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory.

The feedback from the presentation, the animations, and of MCLA was positive from both the audience and the staff of Monash Prato. We enjoyed both the event, and facing the challenges of presenting Yanyuwa stories to an Italian audience, a feat that we would not have been able to achieve without the assistance of Franca – thank you so very much.

We would also like to thank Loretta Baldassar (Director, Monash University Prato Centre) and her staff for this opportunity.

Travelling with us to Prato was Maree Clarke, a Koorie artist and a 2012 artist in residence at Monash University Prato Centre.
