In February 2013 Wiley-Blackwell published the much anticipated International Encyclopedia of Ethics, edited by Hugh LaFollette. As described by Larry S. Temkin, “The International Encyclopedia of Ethics is breathtaking in its ambition and scope. This nine volume masterpiece draws on the expertise of more than 600 authors from 23 countries, to present the most comprehensive reference work ever devoted to the field of ethics.” Members of the Monash Centre for Human Bioethics made significant contributions to this project. Michael Selgelid served on both the Editorial Board and Review Board; and he authored entries on “Dual-Use Research”, “Infectious Diseases”, and “Synthetic Life Sciences”. Justin Oakley served on the Review Board and authored an entry on “Personal Relationships”. Catherine Mills served on the Review Board. Robert Sparrow authored an entry on “Political Correctness”.
