Location and Travel
Travel from Melbourne airport:
The Skybus service which runs every 10 minutes will take you to Southern Cross train station in the Melbourne central business district (CBD). From there, you can take a train or tram to your accommodation.
For public transport, you will need to purchase a ‘Myki’ card.
Alternatively, if you are staying at the Novotel St Kilda, you can take the Frankston and Peninsula Airport bus directly to your accommodation.
Travel between your accommodation and the conference:
If you are staying at Punthill, you can take a Cranbourne, Pakenham, Frankston or Sandringham line train from Southern Cross station and get off at South Yarra station. The apartments are about a 10 minute walk from the station. The Cranbourne, Pakenham and Frankston train lines all continue on to Caulfield train station, which is a 5 minute walk from the ACJC centre at Monash University, Caulfield.
If you are staying at Novotel, you can take the 96 tram (direction ‘St Kilda Beach’) from the corner of Bourke St and Spencer St, just outside Southern Cross station. The tram ride takes 30-45 minutes, and Stop 136 is a 5-minute walk from the Novotel. The 3/3a tram also uses this stop, and this tram (direction East Malvern) will take you to Monash University, Caulfield (5 minute walk from Stops 57, 58 and 59).
