Gemma Lowden, Intern at Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Museum

Gemma is a recipient of the Roslyn Smorgon Global Internship Scholarship.

"I am currently undertaking an internship with the Johannesburg Holocaust and Genocide Centre. I have been gaining valuable experience in all areas of the JHGC; I have particularly been involved in educator and school workshops, Holocaust and Rwandan survivor groups, and working in the office, particularly on the March of the Living program. One of my main projects has also been helping in the planning of a commemorative event for the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The JHGC has such an important mission, and it has been an incredible learning experience to be able to intern here."
