browning_christopher_4_06The ACJC invites Honours and postgraduate students at Australian universities to participate in a workshop on writing history in the field of Holocaust and Genocide studies. The workshop is open to research students at Honours, Master and Doctoral levels.

Researchers wishing to attend should submit a brief summary of their current research project . Submissions should be sent to mark.baker@monash.edu by no later than 18 September.

5 bursaries will be offered to interstate attendees to cover flights. To apply for a bursary, please include a short statement with your CV and current academic affiliation. 
 
Christopher Browning is the Frank Porter Graham Professor of History at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill. He is the author of eight books on Nazi Germany and the Holocaust and has been an expert witness at various trials of accused Nazi criminals in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, as well as in the “Holocaust denial” trials of Ernst Zündel in Toronto (1988) and Irving vs. Lipstadt in London (2000).

He will be in Australia as a Visiting Scholar in Holocaust & Genocide Studies at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, Monash University.
