Travel and Study: ACJC Scholarships 2014

travelThe ACJC offers an exciting range of scholarships  for internships, language study, overseas intensive units, honours and postgraduate research. Applications should be submitted to the Monash Scholarships Office before March 21st. For study tour scholarships you must be enrolled in the relevant Prato unit (Final Journey in July; War and Peace in November).  

Please note: Before submitting the application, please carefully refer to the selection criteria to see if you are eligible for the scholarship. Additionally, please write a paragraph essay in your application explaining how you meet the eligibility criteria and how the scholarship will enhance your academic studies or professional goals.

INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC INTERNSHIPS

These scholarships are for students seeking an internship at an approved overseas or domestic institution. Please note that some of these scholarships require completion of 12 credit points in Jewish Studies or Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

LANGUAGE SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are for students wishing to undertake Hebrew or Yiddish at an approved overseas academic institution. 

INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are for students already enrolled in an overseas unit offered by the ACJC (War and Peace; Final Journey; Seeking Justice).

 INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

This scholarship is for a student wishing to to take 12 points of Jewish Studies units towards a Monash minor in Jewish studies at an academic institution affiliated with Monash University.

 HONOURS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship  is for a student enrolled or intending to enroll full-time in honours, and writing a thesis in an ACJC area of teaching and research – Jewish Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Israel and Middle East Studies.

 TEACHER’S SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is for a student who has completed 12 credit points of ACJC units and has enrolled full-time in either a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts double degree or Master of Teaching in the Faculty of Education.

 POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are for postgraduate students either wishing to undertake an MA in Jewish Studies or Holocaust and Genocide Studies or to undertake Hebrew or Yiddish language study for their research.
